Jesse Eisenberg Says Dressing Up For Awards Shows Is Like Going To A Bar Mitzvah

“I feel like when I was 13 and I had to go to bar mitzvahs every weekend. This is the same feeling. You have to put on a suit every weekend to go meet with a bunch of Jews. … I have this general sense of feeling like I don’t belong, even though I’ve talked to some other people that very much belong and they have the same feeling. I think it’s a room full of insecure actors, which is ultimately very comforting.”

Jesse Eisenberg, who is up for the Best Actor Oscar for “The Social Network,” gives a great analogy for awards season. As for the Academy Awards being “a room full of insecure actors?” Well, I’m just loving that description. [People]
