Inspiring Love Stories: Emilie Gossiaux And Alan Lundgard

When you haven’t been in love for way too long, it’s hard to remember what it feels like or if it even exists at all. As another Valentine’s Day approaches, my knee-jerk reaction is cynicism. But it seems so cliche to be that person. I am desperate for proof that I should keep on believing in LOVE. I’ve collected some epic stories that are sure to keep my single, weary heart a-beating. Check out the story of Emilie and Alan after the jump.I was listening to a segment from the RadioLab podcast “Lost and Found,” which featured the story of Emilie Gossiaux and her boyfriend, Alan Lundgard, two young art students living in Brooklyn. I don’t want to give too much away, but Emilie was involved in a near-fatal accident this past October and it was Alan’s love and determination that brought her back from the brink of death. I highly recommend keeping a box of tissues nearby. I haven’t cried so hard in a long time. I’m talking full-on sobbing. You can listen to their story so eloquently presented below.
