Beauty Test Drive: DHC Deep Cleansing Oil

It might seem counter-productive to clean your face with oil, especially if you have oily skin like me. But I tried DHC Deep Cleansing Oil with fingers crossed that I wouldn’t end up with a huge zit on my nose. The oil contains a blend of moisturizing olive oil and vitamin E that breaks down makeup, dirt, and impurities. I massaged the Deep Cleansing Oil on my dry face with dry hands. I was still skeptical about the cleaning properties, but had to admit the oil felt wonderful on my face. I wasn’t sure it would rinse off easily with water because I know oil and water don’t mix. But surprisingly and amazingly, the oil rinsed off well and easily with warm water. And afterwards, my skin felt clean without any residue. It also felt soft and supple. I still like the cleansing properties of my benzoyl peroxide face wash, but plan to use the DHC Deep Cleansing Oil on the days my skin feels dry or particularly stressed. If you’re not willing to purchase the Deep Cleansing Oil on a whim, the DHC catalog often contains samples of it and other products. [$12.50, DHC]
