It’s official—the first “Jersey Shore” cast member has been given their own spin-off show. The pilot for the new series was shot this fall and follows the life of one Pauly Delvecchio. “He’s distinguished himself onscreen as the fun-loving, well-coiffed, and dependable guy you can’t help but want to hang out with,” MTV’s head of productions explained. “We know viewers are curious about his life away from the shore and we look forward to exploring new possibilities around that.” I’d like to propose an alternate theory on why Pauly D is the first of the “Jersey Shore” crew to get his own show: Snooki and The Situation demanded too much money.
