Simcha’s Favorite Things Of 2010
The blog Your It List has asked a bunch of cool tastemaker types to reveal their favorite things of 2010. They didn’t ask us for ours, but we’re going to share ‘em anyway. You’ve read Julie’s, Amelia’s, Joanne’s and Kate’s. Now here’s Simcha’s …
Favorite Movie: “Easy A,” because it reinforces my two favorite expressions: 1) Fake it ’til you make it and 2) Sluts rule! (Honorable Mention: “Hot Tub Time Machine.”)
Favorite TV Show: It’s a Ru tie! This year I was obsessed with the eleganza and extravaganza that was “RuPaul’s Drag Race” and “RuPaul’s Drag U.”
Favorite YouTube Clip: This clip of a cat hiccuping and farting makes me laugh so hard I nearly hiccup/fart.
Favorite Hot Bitch: Nicki Minaj because she out-rapped Jay-Z and Kanye on “Monster.”
Favorite Role Model: When I grow up, I want to be just like Lady Gaga, except, I’ll wear pants.
Raddest Read: Poet Shya Scanlon’s busted out one badass first novel, Forecast. It’s futuristic fabulousness! And the best part is the protagonist is a totally cool woman, written by a man. Best 284 pages I’ve ever spent. Check out the book trailer above. [Full disclosure: Scanlon's gloriously awesome fiancee is our own former Style Editor, Erin Flaherty.]
Favorite News Of 2010: My two fave things are combining into one big awesome thing: Jason Segel will star in the next Muppet movie.
Favorite Album: Um, 2010 rocked. I can’t even limit it to 10, let alone one. So, instead, I’ll give you my dance mix made solely with some seriously hot trax all from the past year.

Favorite Designer: New Orleans’ Trashy Diva. The clothes are classy, retro, well-made, figure-flattering, and, above all, damn sexy. I snatch that full skirt stuff up on the interwebs and love it forevah-evah.
Favorite Addictive Internet Meme: Sad Keanu makes me sooooooo happy! Is that wrong?
Favorite Comeback: Pee-wee, I love you! Always have, always will, and now Broadway does too.
Favorite Bangable Dude: Jason Schwartzman in “Bored To Death.” Who doesn’t love an adventurous, sensitive writer-type, eh, Frisky readers?
