Apparently, Carrie Fisher’s hobby is outing closeted gay men. Now that she’s clean she has to do something with her time. In the latest issue of The Advocate, she talks about her gay ex-husband (Bryan Lourd), the gay ghost that haunts her (Gregory Stevens), and her favorite gay movie star. Here’s a hint for who she named for that distinction: John Travolta. In the September 2009 issue of Out, Carrie also supposedly spoke for all straight women when she said, “We don’t really care that John Travolta is gay.” While I happen to agree with her, if that statement is indeed the truth, is it really her business to out him? No, I don’t believe so. But Carrie is not apologizing for what she said. When asked again about John Travolta in The Advocate interview, she took it a step further.
“Wow! I mean, my feeling about John has always been that we know and we don’t care. Look, I’m sorry that he’s uncomfortable with it, and that’s all I can say.”
Harsh! I will eagerly await Travolta’s rebuttal. [Celebitchy]
