I suspect that James Franco has a touch of the “Megan Fox”-ies. No, he doesn’t suffer from aggressive sexyface (not with that hipster ‘stache, anyway) or toe-thumbs; rather, James is king of the sound byte. James Franco-isms get so bizarre sometimes that I suspect they may not be true.
The latest example: When asked what turns him on during a visit to “Inside The Actors Studio,” James said rabbits. “Sometimes rabbits, like, turn me on. I don’t know why.” Ooookay. [PopSugar]
After the jump, let’s revisit some other classic James Franco quotes:Also from his interview on “Inside The Actors Studio,” James shares a tale about researching a role at a strip club — err, “strip club” — and watching a gigolo have sex with a coked-up client:
James also shared his masturbation habits with The Hollywood Reporter while promoting “127 Hours,” the story of a hiker who gets his arm stuck in a crevice:
“When I’m alone, I do masturbate a lot. I tend to have a four or five time a day [habit]. So, I probably would have if I was stuck under a rock.”
Last but not least, James also penned a Wall Street Journal article which attempted to tackle the meaty question “What is art?” vis-a-vis explaining why he chose to guest star on the soap “General Hospital” as an artist/murderer. (For performance art, duh.)
“I disrupted the audience’s suspension of disbelief, because no matter how far I got into the character, I was going to be perceived as something that doesn’t belong to the incredibly stylized world of soap operas. Everyone watching would see an actor they recognized, a real person in a made-up world. In performance art, the outcome is uncertain—and this was no exception. My hope was for people to ask themselves if soap operas are really that far from entertainment that is considered critically legitimate.”
Granted, James has a ways to go before he reaches Megan Fox’s level of WTF-ness. But give him time.
