You might have noticed something different about the December issue of Lucky magazine. Creative director Andrea Linnett’s illustrated “Fashion Babble” column was missing from the last page. The column hasn’t died—it’s just moved. Linnett has revived the former fashion story on a new site called I Want to Be Her!, where she features stylish or fashion-forward women. I Want to Be Her! is presented in illustration form, like “Fashion Babble,” but what’s even better is that each piece is hotlinked to an actual clothing item, making shopping easier. The illustrations are the creation of Anne Johnston Albert, an illustrator and designer who also drew “Fashion Babble.” I’ve already fallen in love with the “Cute Barneys Girl” story (above), and have plans to recreate that look, but I’m sure there will be many more sartorial illustrations to spark outfit ideas.
