The 30-Day Cellulite Challenge: Day 1

So, a while back, I wrote a post about how I was going to attempt to get rid of my cellulite, and let you all know what happened. In the interim, though, life got in the way. My butt wasn’t my primary focus; other things were. Now, I’ve got plenty of time to think about my rear-end. For the next 30 days, I’m going to be using Karin Herzog anti-cellulite cream to see if it really gets rid of cellulite, and I’ll be blogging all the while. After the jump, Day 1.Day 1: I decided to start this derriere fest with some focused posterior time. Before proceeding, I needed to know what I was dealing with. Thankfully, I’ve lost 20 pounds in the last five months, so I experienced less trepidation about going cheek-to-cheek with the mirror than I would have been previously.

I would say my cellulite situation is probably “average.” Not supermodel average. Average American woman average. I’ve got some cellulite on the bottom of my butt, where the butt meets the thigh, and the backs of my thighs. The whole deal doesn’t look like a couple gallons of cottage cheese stuffed into some nude pantyhose, but it’s not exactly “smooth” either.

For my experiment I’m using Karin Herzog‘s Dynamic Duo anti-cellulite cream. There are two tubes: Tonus B12 and Silhouette. First, I massaged in the Tonus B12, as directed. Then, without massaging in, as directed, I smoothed the Silhouette over that.

And instantly, I had no cellulite! Just kidding.

I’ll be chronicling whether or not my cellulite goes away with this stuff on The Frisky for the next 30 days, so please be sure to follow along. If you’re even half as obsessed with my butt as I am, this should be a fascinating journey.

What I Learned: I need to go to yoga.

Karin Herzog sent me two free tubes of anti-cellulite creams, but my 30-day cellulite status report will be 100% influence-free.
