The Boob Tube: Television Highlights For The Week Of November 8, 2010
Oh television, as the weather gets colder and nastier, I begin to appreciate you for the good friend you really are. This week, you bring us all sorts of goodies, from Iman hosting “The Fashion Show” to Teri Hatcher guest-starring on “Smallville” to the series premiere of “Sarah Palin’s Alaska.” After the jump, previews and more.
The Show: “The Soup Presents: Drunk and Disorderly On Your TV”
Set Your DVR For: Tonight, 10:30 p.m. (EST), E!
The way-too-adorable-for-his-own-good Joel McHale shares his fave clips of people blitzed out of their mind as the cameras roll. Should be hilarious.
The Show: “The Fashion Show: Ultimate Collection”
Set Your DVR For: Tuesday, 10 p.m. (EST), Bravo
Bravo’s “Project Runway” just got waaaaay more interesting after ditching host/judge Kelly Rowland in favor of Iman. Such a good call—between her accent, her insults, and the fact that she’s married to David Bowie … well, we’d watch her give commentary on paint drying.
The Show: “Burn Notice”
Set Your DVR For: Thursday, 10 p.m. (EST), USA
It’s hard to believe that “Burn Notice” is on its fifth season. But I am ready for more espionage goodness as Michael Westen tries to figure out who wants him burned.
The Show: “Smallville”
Set Your DVR For: Friday, 8 p.m. (EST), The CW
In this episode, we meet Lois’ mom. And she’s played by none other than Teri Hatcher. Genius!
The Show: “Saturday Night Live”
Set Your DVR For: Saturday, 11:30 p.m. (EST), NBC
This weekend’s “SNL” makes us happy—Scarlett Johansson is hosting (that clip is from the last time she hosted) and Arcade Fire is the musical guests. Love them.
The Show: “Sarah Palin’s Alaska”
Set Your DVR For: Sunday, 9 p.m. (EST), TLC
Thank goodness Sarah Palin isn’t in some “stuffy old office” and could head into the wilderness to document all the “flippin fun.” I’d love to say I won’t watch this show, but who am I kidding? I totally will.
