This weekend was the ING New York City Marathon which I totally participated in … by giving a thumbs-up to a runner I saw later in the day. But seriously, congratulations to the participants, including Al Roker, Chilean miner Edison Peña, Howard Stern‘s sidekick Robin Quivers, and model/actress Veronica Webb. Roker said before the race, “Almost everybody’s bucket list includes running the ING New York City Marathon. Just the thought of being able to start this race gives me goose bumps. As does the fear that the weather might turn ugly.” The weather was pretty freezing, but the runners battled it out.
