Amy Winehouse has come out of “hiatus” to spawn a new single, “It’s My Party.” The track was produced by Mark Ronson, and it’s a cover of Lesley Gore’s 1963 track of the same name. So … how does it sound? Well, I’ll let you be the judge. To me, it sounds, and I hate to say this, slurry. Musically, it’s nothing new: Motown redux. Vocally, it’s kind of sad. But I’m no Simon Cowell! Tell us what you think of the latest from Miss Winehouse in the comments. The song will appear on Quincy Jones’ upcoming “tribute” album, Soul Bossa Nostra, which drops November 9. [ONTD]
