DIYing It: Cardigan Chain — and Your Chance to Win It!
OK all you Gleekers — we’ve got a DIY for all of you that is easy, fun and so darn cute!
After the jump, check out how!
Emma Pillsbury’s wardrobe on “Glee” is the inspiration for this DIY — specifically her super cute cardi chains! These accessories are great to dress up your favorite cardigan and can be made from a broken bracelet if you have one hanging around.
We’ve used some fun rectangular chain with a criss cross pattern on it. You’ll also need some pliers, 2 alligator clips, a few jump rings, 2 large studs or flat buttons, and quick set epoxy.
Make your chain the desired length, ours is about 7 inches long. Using the jump rings, attach the alligator clips to the ends.
Next take your quick set epoxy and studs, we used some really cool hemotite ones — the gun metal goes nicely with the silver chain. Set the studs to the clips making sure not to block the part of the clip you press down on. Let sit over night so they set fully.
Wear it! We’ve paired ours with a simple cardigan and a teal tee, but it could easily be fancied up by wearing it with a dress and cardi combo. Loverly!
