The other day, on my personal blog, I confessed to having started a list of things I want to do/accomplish before I have a baby. Someone in the comments section alerted me to a recent episode of “How I Met Your Mother” where such a list is referred to as a “cradle list,” which I thought was a great name for it. So, I’m wondering: Do you have a cradle list, and if so, what’s on it? You don’t have to be in a relationship or even be planning to have kids anytime soon to have such a list – maybe yours might include “find a partner,” or “decide whether I want kids.”Ideally, I’d like to have a kid sometime in the next 12-18 months — although that’s subject to change — and among the things I want to do before then are: travel (to California, South America, NOLA, and maybe Charleston, SC, and Seattle); maintain a regular exercise regimen for a year; and I’d like to organize our spare room/office/maybe eventually a nursery so there’s actually room for a baby. I’m going to NOLA next month (first time!), and for the last two months, I’ve been exercising five days a week, so I’m making some headway. But, what about you? What’s on your “cradle list”?
