Beauty Test Drive: Rene Furterer’s “Naturia” Dry Shampoo

I really hate blow-drying my hair. The time. The discomfort. The general dissatisfaction with your non-professional job. Yet for me, blow drying is an absolute necessity thanks to my weird genetic makeup which gave me a mop of crazy curly hair on the top and straight hair beneath that. So I try to get away with washing my hair every other day (sometimes more if I can swing it). I’ve tried dry shampoos in the past and never thought they worked very well. I guess I just never found the right one because I recently discovered Rene Furterer’s “Naturia” dry shampoo, which has changed my beauty routine. For starters, the spray-on has the force of a fire extinguisher, so you know you’re really getting it into your hair. The mixture is made with absorbent clay to collect sebum and other oils from the roots (ew!). After spraying, leave the product in for two minutes and then pat with a towel to release excess. What I love most about this product is how it actually adds volume to my mane (other dry shampoos I’ve tried have made my hair super fine and limp). It’s also not overly scented, leaving you with a simple, slightly clean fragrance. [$12, Sephora]
