You can’t help what you’re afraid of sometimes — even if it happens to be something really innocuous or strange. Take Amelia, for example, who is afraid of talking on the phone. “I avoid it as much as possible. I sometimes won’t order delivery from a place unless I can do it online because I hate to call.” She also fears large birds. “Birds in general, actually, but large birds make me want to kill myself.” And she’s not the only one.
