October 6 is Mad Hatter Day. The date is taken from Alice In Wonderland‘s Mad Hatter. According to the story, there’s a slip of paper tucked in the ribbon of the Mad Hatter’s hat with “In this style 10/6″ written on it, which many relate to the date, October 6. Typically, people celebrating Mad Hatter Day don a zany hat, but we reserve only one day of October, Halloween, for making fools of ourselves. Instead, we’re going to wear chic hats for Mad Hatter Day. Check out the 13 hats we found that could work for today or the rest of fall and winter.
