Lady Gaga Urges Little Monsters To Help Repeal “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell”

Yes, pop stars can be political. In this video from Lady Gaga, she calls on John McCain and the rest of the Senate to repeal the 1993 “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy, which prohibits openly gay people from serving in the military. The law gets put to a vote tomorrow, and Gaga is urging her fans to call their senators and encourage them to repeal the law. Said Gaga, quoting Senator Harry Reid, “Anyone who is willing to fight for this country should have the same civil opportunities to do so as anyone else.” [YouTube]
