My mind was silent, but my heart was racing as I watched the trailer for Tyler Perry’s “For Colored Girls,” a film based on Ntozake Shange’s choreopoem For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow is Enuf. The trailer seems so powerful that I no longer have any doubt that Perry handled this acclaimed work with care. Oh why can’t Nov. 5 be tomorrow so I can see this important film already? I’m going to read the original one more time to prepare myself. Will you see “For Colored Girls”?
