Yesterday on Twitter, Playboy announced that porn star Sasha Grey will appear on the cover of the October issue of Playboy magazine. Hugh Hefner went on to add via tweet that October will have two covers, one featuring Grey and the other featuring Kim Phillips for their college-themed issue. Years ago, Hef never would have allowed a porn star to appear on the cover of his magazine, but with circulation dropping, and Grey’s mainstream acting turns on “Entourage” and in Steven Soderbergh’s “The Girlfriend Experience,” one can assume that he and the Playboy suits figured it was about time.
