Boob Tube: Must-See TV For The Week Of August 30, 2010

It’s the week before Labor Day, which means we are pretty much in the television wasteland before new fall shows start. But, alas, there are some great things to tide you over. We’ve got the “Real Housewives of New Jersey” reunion episode, which looks like it’ll be a humdinger. Plus, new episodes of our faves “Bachelor Pad,” “Project Runway,” and “True Blood.” Previews after the jump.

This show is our new guilty pleasure of choice. Tonight, we go from 13 to eight contestants. Oh, and the new cast of “Dancing with the Stars” will officially be announced. Will The Situation and Bristol Palin be on the roster?

In this new series, minority drivers compete to earn a spot in NASCAR. Four ladies are in the running. Who will be the next Danica Patrick?

The Show: “Project Runway”

The preview teases big drama. But we’re more excited about the fact that the challenge is rehabbing bridesmaid dresses so they can be worn again.

The Show: “Mel B: It’s a Scary World”
Set Your DVR For: Sunday, 9 p.m., Style
Mel B is the latest C-lister to get her own reality show. Is it wrong that we’re kinda interested?

The Show: “True Blood”

Only two episodes left in what’s been an amazing season so far. There have been so many surprises recently—like Eric offing Talbot and the revelation that Sookie’s a faerie and her blood will let vamps walk in the sun. I can only imagine how off the chain these final episodes will be.
