If you ever read Finn Family Moomintroll as a child, you’ll surely recognize the characters who populate Bjork‘s latest music video, “The Comet Song.” The Moomins children’s book series was created by Tove Jansson and went on to gain worldwide popularity, primarily due to its main characters: soft, white, fluffy Mommin creatures that live in Finland. The song appears in “Moomins and the Comet Chase,” a new movie compiled from a stop motion Moomin TV series that ran in Poland from 1977 to 1982. It stars Moomintroll, Moominmama, Moominpapa, Snufkin, Sniff, a Hemulen, the Hattifatteners, and more. (But where’s Little My?) [Your Music Today]
