Album Drop: This Week’s New Releases, From !!! To Ra Ra Riot

It’s Tuesday, aka New Music Day. And let me tell you, girl, this week is the jammiest! Shine up those dancin’ shoes because my favorite psychedelic party band !!! (pronounced “chk chk chk”) has a new album out and it is all kinds of fun. Ra Ra Riot proves three is the magic number with their rad new release. Fantasia isn’t just bringin’ the drama in real life; her R&B record lays it out. Margaret Cho duets with some stellar songbirds. Katy Perry pops some more bubble gum and Usher unleashes some B sides. So, get those headphones on because you’re going to wanna rock out after the jump.

!!!, Strange Weather, Isn’t It?
My favorite band went to Berlin to dance in the darkness.

Katy Perry, Teenage Dream
Fluffier and more processed than that cotton candy on the cover.

Fantasia, Back To Me
Sweet R&B power ballads, like “I’m Doin’ Me.”

Ra Ra Riot, The Orchard
Their third indie pop record in two years doesn’t disappoint, amazingly enough.

Usher, Versus
On the heels of Raymond vs. Raymond, the dude releases some extra tracks.

Margaret Cho, Cho Dependent
Perfect Lilith Fair fare from the comedienne who keeps her performance art fresh with burlesque — tongue-in-cheek tracks made with musicians like Fiona Apple and Andrew Bird.
