Female socialites have a longstanding tradition of becoming designers. Some of them shouldn’t. As for socialite Olivia Palermo (or a “social,” as she would refer to herself), who just launched a mini-collection of bib necklaces, we’ll let her pass. The designs aren’t offensive, but aren’t too special either. Here’s a look at some other society ladies-turned-fashion-designers. Some of them know what they’re doing.
