Has Bravo Fired Danielle Staub From “The Real Housewives Of New Jersey”?
It’s a sad day in mindless entertainment drama if the rumor that Bravo fired Danielle Staub from “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” is true. According to Life & Style, Danielle, who brought the crazy and the controversy to the Bravo airwaves like few others, was told she would not return to the hit reality show for season three. Bravo has refused to comment, saying it’s against policy to comment on casting decisions for an upcoming season while a current season is airing. But this isn’t the first time Bravo has fired a housewife. DeYawn DeShawn Snow was too boring to return for a second season of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta.” But if this rumor is true, Bravo might have made a poor decision. I hate to say it, but “New Jersey” really needs Danielle’s special type of drama. Hate her or love her (I’m sure there are some fans out there), Danielle has been a ratings goldmine. She’s allegedly been involved in prostitution, drugs, kidnapping, lawsuits, and table-flippings. And Danielle’s delusions of people being out to get her are enough to make any reality show watcher feel better about her life.
Maybe Bravo realized what we noticed a long time ago. Danielle is effing psycho! And not in a Skittles-will-solve-all-your-problems-Kelly-Bensimon way. Danielle is that special type of crazy that will hire a hit man to come after you and your family because you looked at her wrong or called her “honey.”
So what does Danielle have to say about the fired rumor? Well, she’d rather talk about getting her own spin-off reality show — one in which she forces her poor daughters to perform like little circus monkeys in order to prove she’s a good mother, I’m sure. If season two is Danielle’s final curtain call, then let’s hope Kim G. can pick up where she left off. Don’t tell me you didn’t notice Bravo grooming Kim to be a housewife this season … [Huffington Post]
