Club Muzique, a Montreal nightclub, recently posted a message on its Facebook page that had some women kind of pissed. Yeah, I would say “NO FAT GIRLS ALLOWED!!!!!!” borders on extremely offensive, wouldn’t you? Since the incident, which incited an onslaught of angry comments and a write up in the Montreal Gazette, the club’s management is changing their tune claiming that this ban of fat girls was just a joke because it was followed by a smiley face emoticon. Bwahahaha! I get the humor now. Emoticons make everything okay. Come to think of it, that is absolutely hilarious to turn people away from your establishment based on weight, race, age, gender, etc. Um, seriously, I vote for banning clubs with redonkulous names like “Muzique.” [Salon]
