Meet Gary Matthews — or, as he likes to be called, Boomer the Dog. Matthews, it seems, developed an affinity for a canine on the ’80s TV show “Boomer the Dog” when he was just a little kid, and has shaped his entire life around the fictional sheep dog. He dresses like a human sometimes, but prefers to go out on the town decked in his custom-made Boomer suit. Matthews loves his doggie persona so much that he’s actually petitioned the courts to legally change his name to Boomer. Not surprisingly, Gary/Boomer is unemployed.
