Here’s a combination for you that’s almost as good as the chocolate, marshmallow, and graham cracker of a s’more. Amanda Palmer, the amazing frontwoman of the Dresden Dolls, has a cover album out. (Told you all the cool kids were doing it.) The concept: she plays Radiohead hits, from “Creep” to “Idiotech.” On a ukulele. It’s called, fittingly, Amanda Palmer Performs the Popular Hits of Radiohead on Her Magical Ukulele. “I picked up the ukulele three years ago as a joke. I soon discovered what a powerful instrument it really is,” she told AOL. “[Radiohead's] songs are dark and morose, but still in major keys. That’s why they work on what is an inherently joyful instrument. It’s a combination of darkness and light.” Check out the result after the jump. [AOL]
