Perhaps this is small potatoes compared to the allegations that Whoopi Goldberg slapped White House party crasher Michaele Salahi on yesterday’s episode. But Jake Pavelka‘s appearance on “The View” on Tuesday was pretty interesting. Now, I don’t like it when someone is publicly questioned about their sexuality. But in this case, Jake did bring it up. “There was a lack of intimacy because our problems were so heavy,” he said, describing why he didn’t want to get down with fiance Vienna Girardi. “I can’t separate love and intimacy — and apparently that makes me gay.”Which opened up all the ladies to ask him point blank if he’s a friend of Dorothy. “We’d love you just the same,” Elisabeth Hasselbeck said.
“No, no,” Jake said. “No, I’m not.” Then laughed super awkwardly.
Wouldn’t it have been awesome if he’d told Elisabeth, “When I run out of women, I’ll try guys.” But instead, Jake took things in another direction, telling Elisabeth, “I can’t see how someone could look at you and not be completely attracted.”
Ewwww! Maybe Jake thought he was still on “The Bachelor”?
