Yesterday was a huge day for civil rights in California, but also the United States. Proposition 8, which banned gay marriage in the state, was overturned, with Judge Vaughn Walker calling it “unconstitutional” and saying it “does nothing more than enshrine in the California constitution the notion that opposite sex couples are superior to same sex couples.” Hells yeah.
