After seeing the film “The Bucket List,” I got to thinking about everything I want to accomplish while on this earth. Skydiving, seeing all the wonders of the world, living abroad for over a year: it’s all on my list. But then I started to think about how this could apply to everything in life. Gastronomically, there are tons of delicacies I want to enjoy, like pho in Vietnam, as there are restaurants I want to dine in, like Per Se in NYC. I want to consume all of literature’s classics, cross off all the movies on the AFI 100, and dinner with Anthony Bourdain could quite possibly make me swoon for an entire lifetime. Given my love for fashion, I couldn’t help but apply the same goals to my wardrobe …There are a few easy choices: I want to own a pair of Christian Louboutin shoes, a Gucci horsebit hobo bag, a classic Chanel purse, diamond earrings from Tiffany’s, and an Hermes Birkin bag, of course. Technically, given the monetary allowance, I could accomplish all of those feats with a credit card, so then I set to creating my real bucket list of fashion. In my lifetime, I’d love to be styled for an event by a design house, host a fashion party, and score a major designer deal at a vintage store. But the ultimate? I would be ecstatic if I could walk down a runway, despite my 5’1” stature. Now tell me: What’s on your fashion bucket list?
