Wait, Maybe Ali Does Actually Get Engaged
Recently, the word on the street has been that Ali Fedotowsky leaves “The Bachelorette” a single lady. As I watched Monday’s episode, I couldn’t get this out of my head, especially when Ali said something to the effect of, “To go though all this and leave alone … ” Way to foreshadow, ABC! But, Us Weekly assures us that this is not the case. Their sources tell them that Ali not only gets a proposal in Bora Bora, but that she accepts it. They say she is already at work planning her Converse-clad wedding, which will be in early 2011. So which report is true—that she leaves solo or finds her man? Guess we’ll have to wait and find out.
But even more exciting is Us Weekly’s revelation that Ali and Roberto may have known each other before the show. In 2002, Ali had just graduated from high school in Williamstown, Massachusetts, while Roberto was pitching for the nearby baseball team, the North Adams SteepleCats. “They definitely would have moved in the same social circle,” a source said. Another source adds that they think they remember seeing Ali cheering for Roberto in the stands. That sounds a little fishy to me because, well, I can’t remember what I had for lunch yesterday let alone random strangers in the stands at baseball games I went to eight years ago. But I, like everyone in the world, am rooting for Roberto and, thus, like this unlikely factoid.
