It might take you another day or so to recover from last night’s slightly traumatic episode of “True Blood.” But when you are ready to turn on the television again, there are lots of exciting programs waiting for you. (And, yes, I am starting a campaign to bring back the word ‘programs.’) For example, the season premieres of “Make It Or Break It” and “Intervention.” And a new sitcom, “Louie,” that looks like it could be on par with “The Office” and “How I Met Your Mother.” And if that doesn’t float your boat, perhaps I could interest you in another delicious serving of “Friday Night Lights?” After the jump, previews, teasers, and more.
The Show: “Make It Or Break It”
Set Your DVR For: Tonight, 10pm (EST), ABC Family
I won’t lie, people. Last night, I totally watched the second half of “Stick It” while cleaning my apartment. Which got me in a very gymnastics mood. So thank goodness this majorly underrated ABC Family series is back.
The Show: “Intervention”
Set Your DVR For: Tonight, 9pm (EST), A&E
The most hardcore of all addiction shows is back for the ninth depressing/uplifting season. Tonight’s episode is gonna be a good one—it’s about a mother/son pair who are total alcoholics together. Will they be able to turn it around? Hope so.
The Show: “Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List”
Set Your DVR For: Tuesday, 10pm (EST), Bravo
A very special episode because … Kathy goes to Alaska to hang out with her faux-lover, Levi Johnston. Supposedly, she rings the doorbell. Will Bristol answer and arm wrestle her for her man?
The Show: “Louie”
Set Your DVR For: Tuesday, 11pm (EST) F/X
Louis C.K. is freaking hilarious. And I’m pumped he has a new sitcom, which looks like it will be the anti “Everyone Loves Raymond.” The series features Louis as a single dad trying out the dating scene. Oh, and the premiere episode stars Ricky Gervais.
The Show: “Friday Night Lights”
Set Your DVR For: Friday, 8pm (EST), NBC
I have only two words to say about “FNL”: Awe. Some. In the next episode, Becky is pregnant. But who did she have sex with—Riggins or Luke? Oh, and someone gets shot. Please let it not be Vince, though I have a feeling that’s where things are headed.
