The Lakers Win The NBA Title, Hollywood Is Happy

If you happen to need a favor from an A-, B-, or C-Lister in Hollywood, today would probably be a very good day to ask for it. Last night was the seventh and final game in the NBA Finals, with the Lakers taking on their rivals, the Boston Celtics, in the tied series. And after coming from behind in the fourth quarter, they eeked out a lead and won the game 83-79 to become the NBA Champions. Ron Artest, who scored 20 points in the game, gave our favorite post-game interview of all time, saying, “I definitely want to thank my doctors. My psychiatrist, she really helped me relax a lot.” []

So what do other stars and famous folk have to say about the victory? Find out, after the jump. Kobe Bryant, the MVP of the Finals:

“This one is by far the sweetest. This was the hardest one by far. I wanted it so bad, and sometimes when you want it so bad, it slips away from you. My guys picked me up.” [ESPN]

Lindsay Lohan, who presumably did not have a drink to celebrate the win:

Khloe Kardashian, who’s married to Lakers star Lamar Odom:

“I am sooooo proud of Lamar! That moment I will remember forever.” [Twitter]

Ron Artest, again:

“This was one of the best games in, I don’t even know, man. I don’t want to be in a game like this, where the game can go either way. … I’m just like, ‘OK, what did I get myself into?'” [ESPN]

Snoop Dogg, a serious Lakers fan:

“It was a fight !!!! @Donniewahlberg u been a great opponent!!! Nuthin but luv to u n your Celtics soldiers!'” [ABC]

Lakers coach Phil Jackson, who has been talking about retiring but may change his mind now that he has the possibility to win a fourth three-peat in his coaching history:

“I’ve got to take a deep breath. I’ve got to take some time to think about this. This was great. I’ll wait to make that decision in a week.” [ESPN]

“Got RINGS???? Ask @iamdiddy!! LA LAKERS…CONGRATS!!” [ABC]

What did you think of the game?
