There are only two words to describe last night’s season premiere of “True Blood“: Awe. Some. More Evan Rachel Wood as the Queen of Louisiana and Bill-Sookie-Eric sexiness? Well, you know what I’ll be up to every Sunday night for the next three months. But if you don’t have HBO, never fear. There is lots more exciting stuff happening on the small screen. After the jump, what else you need to watch this week, from new series “Double Exposure” and “Hot in Cleveland” to the finae of “The Tudors.”
The Show: “For Neda”
Set Your DVR For: Tonight, 9 p.m. (EST), HBO
About a year ago, we watched in horror as a video made its way around the internet of a young woman being shot during the protests that followed the stolen presidential election in Iran. HBO Films has made a documentary about Neda Agha-Soltan and it’s not for the weak of heart. This documentary will require a box full of tissues.
The Show: “Cupcake Wars”
Set Your DVR For: Tuesday, 9 p.m. (EST), Food Network
Since the last entry was kind of a downer, I bring you … cupcakes! Mmmm.
The Show: “Double Exposure”
Set Your DVR For: Tuesday, 10 p.m. (EST), Bravo
This new reality series is about world renowned photographer Marcus Klinko, who works with his model ex-girlfriend of eight years, Indrani. Expect a look behind the world of fashion photography, and a lot of fights.
The Show: “Hot In Cleveland”
Set Your DVR For: Wednesday, 10 p.m. (EST), TV Land
Let the Betty White love continue! Her new sitcom is about three best friends moving into a house with a curmudgeonly caretaker, and also stars sitcom greats Valerie Bertinelli, Jane Leeves, and Wendie Malick. It’s no “Golden Girls,” but still.
The Show: “The Tudors”
Set Your DVR For: Sunday, 9 p.m. (EST), Showtime
Sigh. This is the series finale of “The Tudors,” which means no more weekly doses of Jonathan Rhys-Meyers sexiness on television. Not to mention that he’s old and raspy in this episode. Sigh.
