The Boob Tube: Must-See TV For The Week Of June 7, 2010
Oh, television, you are a good companion. Thank you for always providing a good time and never talking back. After the jump, some shows to look forward to this week, from the season finale of “Glee” to the season premiere of “True Blood,” with reality shows like “Work of Art” and “Bethenny Getting Married?” in the middle.
The Show: “Glee”
Set Your DVR For: Tuesday, 9 p.m. (EST), Fox
The first season of “Glee” has been pretty spectacular, and the finale brings us back to where we started—Rachel and Finn, killing a Journey classic. So will New Directions be able to defeat Vocal Adrenaline at Regionals? Here’s hoping.
The Show: “Pretty Little Liars”
Set Your DVR For: Tuesday, 8 p.m. (EST), ABC Family
It’s official, teen horror is back, first with the making of “Scream 4″ and now this series which is what “Gossip Girl” would be if the titular gossiper was (a) dead or (b) harassing her friends for leaving her for dead.
The Show: “Work of Art”
Set Your DVR For: Wednesday, 11 p.m. (EST), Bravo
Bravo did it for fashion (“Project Runway”), food (“Top Chef”), decorators (“Top Design”), and hairstylists (“Sheer Genius”). So it was only a matter of time before they created a competition show for artists.
The Show: “Bethenny Getting Married?”
Set Your DVR For: Thursday, 10 p.m. (EST), Bravo
Bethenny Frankel was always our favorite of “The Real Housewives of New York City,” thanks to her super dry wit. So even though wedding shows make me gag, I will give this one a try. Another added benefit: no headache from listening to the other women fight.
The Show: “True Blood”
Set Your DVR For: Sunday, 9 p.m. (EST), HBO
Oh man, I cannot wait for the season premiere of “True Blood.” Bill is kidnapped, Sookie and Eric might get it on, Tara gets a vampire of her own, and werewolves come to Bons Temp. Must. Watch. We’ve been thirsting for this for months.
The Show: “Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami”
Set Your DVR For: Sunday, 10 p.m. (EST), E!
This will be a big letdown after the premiere of “True Blood,” but I’ll watch to find out whether Khloe is really pregnant or not. And I am brave enough to admit that.
