This weekend, she unleashed her anger on her blog, where she posted snippets of the interview she claims were taken out of context. And one of them is about a detail as trivial as what flavor French fry she ate during the interview. Now M.I.A. has even written a song about the debacle called “I’m a Singer.” The lyrics go, “I’m a singer/Never said anything else/I didn’t lie to you/Thinking of somebody else.” Oh, and another choice snippet: “You’re a racist, I wouldn’t trust you one bit.” I think it’s time for M.I.A. to drop it and move on.
