Hands down, the best thing about working at The Frisky is our amazing readers. We so heart all of your witty, thoughtful, and informative comments—heck, we even appreciate the mean ones. Sometimes, we can’t help but wonder about the faces behind avatars. We decided to launch a weekly column where we learn all about a Frisky reader. After the jump, meet Singlegirl@31, one of our most prolific commenters. Please state your name, age, and location for The Friskyverse.

How did you find the site?
A close friend of mine emailed me a “Dealbreaker” article and I have been hooked ever since!
What do you do all day, other than follow The Frisky, which is totally condoned?
I work in marketing for the largest health insurance company in the state, which as you may know, we are currently going through the Obama-reform bill or “Healthcare Hell” as we jokingly refer to it around here. Ha!
Well, I think you can guess by my Frisky name.
What is your fave post in recent Frisky history?
It was a “Dear Wendy” article from the “rebound dude” and what I loved most was the super snazzy comment from a reader. It was so great that I had to email it to several of my friends: “The two of you are either dating or not. No in-betweens. No waiting for someone to change their mind. No explanations. No regrets, and certainly no looking back. If someone is less than 100% sure about dating you … you walk away. Grow some cajones and drop whatever it is you think is between the two of you. Drop it like the Titanic, NOW!!! The sooner this relationship is in the landfill then sooner you can move on with your life.”
What are your pop culture guilty pleasures?
“Entourage,” “Mad Men,” “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” YouTube, and Facebook. But I don’t have cable or a home computer so if it’s not on Netflix … well, I guess I have to watch it at my grandmother’s house. No, I don’t live in a cave; I’m just an outdoor enthusiast who works behind a computer ALL day and all of my friends have computers so I don’t feel like I really need one at home. I actually prefer to un-plug at 5 p.m.!
Can you share your most embarrassing dating story? We always share ours. It’s only fair.
Wow, I have so many I’m really not sure where to begin. I guess it would be when I got together with my 7th grade boyfriend last summer after 15 years (we reconnected on Facebook). I assumed that we were going to kind of pick up where we left off but with a lot more life/sexual experience. After the BEST weekend EVER, I asked him over the phone if we were going to change our FB “status” and he in no uncertain terms, gently but matter-of-factly informed me that he was still “single.” I was devastated … sigh.
Who is your celebrity doppelganger?
I’ve heard everyone from LeAnn Rimes to Renee Zellweger, Britney Spears, Drew Barrymore and (this one is a stretch) Cameron Diaz. I don’t see it, personally; mostly just guys that said that just wanted to get laid. It worked a few times I must admit!
What type of skivvies do you have on right now?
Cotton thong, the go-to pair when I’m in a hurry.
What is your secret talent?
Sailing! But that’s not so secret. Maybe photography, playing the piano, or belly-dancing? Writing as well. I have written a novel with a working title Broke But Not Broken. I’m a year in the journey, but my grammar and punctuation leave much to be desired. Editor anyone?
If you could be a superhero, what would your superpower be?
Swimming without having to come up for air, kind of like a mermaid, I guess.
Favorite book, movie, musician or band?
I have so many favorites, I read a book about Marie Antoinette recently that I loved and one about Madeleine Albright, Read My Pins. I love true stories, biographies, and memoirs. My favorite movie would have to be “Shakespeare In Love,” seen it a million times! Also “Singles” is an all-time fave and who doesn’t love “The Notebook”? Music? Wow that’s a hard one. I love Tori Amos circa 1992, Erykah Badu, Ani Di Franco, a little Gaga, Ke$ha, and old-school Sir-Mix-A lot.
Who is your celebrity crush?
My top four right now are Adrien Brody, Bradley Cooper, Adrian Grenier, and Jon Hamm.
