Love may be blind, but kissing can leave you deaf. A Chinese woman was left partially deaf in her left ear after a particularly, um, passionate kiss from her boyfriend. According to China Daily, “The kiss reduced the pressure in the mouth, pulled the eardrum out and caused the breakdown of the ear.” Seriously?! Luckily, the woman is expected to regain her full hearing in about two months, but Shanghai Daily is warning others about the dangers excessive kissing presents: “A strong kiss may cause an imbalance in the air pressure between two inner ears and lead to a broken ear drum.” Is nothing safe?!
