Last month, a New York judge ordered a woman to return her rock to her fiance, which she thought was totally unfair because he had cheated and caused her “emotional distress” in the process. Colette DiPierro, 28, of Staten Island, is in a similar position. She is being sued by her ex fiance to give the $17K ring back and will be heading to court soon. But, she claims that she’s keeping the ring as collateral for money he owes her for rent and other bills. Plus, she says, the ring was also a birthday gift.
