Bobby Brown Proposes On Stage, Like Too Many Before Him
On Friday, Bobby Brown asked his girlfriend of three years, Alicia Etheridge, to marry him, while playing a music festival in Jacksonville, Florida. In the middle of his set, he invited Alicia and their baby, Cassius, on stage. And in time-honored famous person fashion, he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him in front of oodles of screaming fans. The moment was so sweet that we won’t even comment on how the heck someone can marry this man after his history with Whitney. [People]

- Last summer, Shooter Jennings was so moved seeing girlfriend Drea de Matteo dance by the stage during one of his gigs that he called her on stage and popped the question. He tweeted a few hours later, “Asked drea to marry me on stage tonight. I’m a lucky man. I’ll never forget Utica, Ny. Hands off m———— she said yes but she’s mad.” [Hollyscoop]
- Jamie Kennedy asked Jennifer Love Hewitt to marry him during a comedy set at the Laugh Factory. Supposedly, an audience member shouted out “Marry her.” At which point, Jamie brought Jennifer on stage and got down on one knee, even though he didn’t have a ring yet. That turned out well. - In January, Backstreet Boy A.J. McLean was celebrating his 32nd birthday at a club at the Las Vegas Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. At some point during the evening, he ran to the hotel gift shop and bought a ring. As a source says, “He got up onstage and the DJ turned the music off. He asked her to come up onstage, and he got down on his knee and she squatted down with him. He asked her and she said yes and hugged him. - It didn’t matter than Aaron Carter had only known former Miss US Teen and Playboy model Kari Ann Peniche for six days. He popped the question to her in 2006 on stage at the Playboy Comedy Tour. Shortly after though, the two decided not to go through with getting married. “He’s really young and just needs to get his act together,” she explained. “I don’t know what’s going on right now.
