It’s hard to decide which of the 10 models in the new Givenchy ad campaign looks the coolest. Catherine McNeil’s hair has been dyed bright red, Malgosia Bela’s locks are pink and Mariacarla Boscono is about to engage in what we’re sure would be a hot makeup session with a fellow lady catwalker. Basically, there’s a lot going on. Perhaps the most interesting facet of the campaign, however, is Lea T., Givenchy designer Riccardo Tisci’s longtime personal assistant and former fit model who’s also a transgender person. Tisci told WWD that Lea, formerly known as Leo, has “always been very feminine: super fragile, very aristocratic,” and she embodies the androgyny of Givenchy.
