For those of you who simply throw away your candy wrappers, then for shame. You’re simply not being creative enough. One recycling happy designer found inspiration in an unlikely source–the wrappers from peanut M&Ms. Couture designer Christina Liedtk was commissioned by TerraCycle to create a gown for their pop-up shop in celebration of the 40th anniversary of Earth Day, and the end result was a dress that could actually be worn. She delicately sewed together 600 yellow wrappers to create this stunning gown, transforming trash into blooming flowers. Now, Christina is making the Port Authority Bus Terminal in New York a little bit prettier too, since the TerraCycle pop-up shop displaying the dress is located there until May 21.
