Remote Control: What You’ll Want To Watch The Week of April 19th 2010

It’s really beautiful outside, yet this doesn’t make me want to leave the house to frolic in the sun. I think it’s because I’m depressed and it just seems like nature is laughing at me. Fortunately, my best friend, TV, is here to cheer me up. This week, there are the premieres of “Romantically Challenged” and “Party Down,” the finales of “Damages” and “Project Runway,” a live reunion special for “The Millionaire Matchmaker,” and the Madonna “Glee” episode. Suck it, sun.

The Show: “Romantically Challenged”
Set Your DVR For: Monday, 9:30 p.m. (EST), ABC
The series premiere of “Romantically Challenged” starts tonight with Alyssa Milano starring as a divorced mom who’s tossed back into the dating pool with no floaty wings. Hopefully, the show will be funnier than the previews!

The Show: “Damages”
Set Your DVR For: Monday, 10:00 p.m. (EST), FX
It’s the season finale of “Damages” tonight, entitled “The Next One’s Gonna Go In Your Throat,” and it looks like a helluva lot goes down in just one episode. But unfortunately, it might also be the series finale if the show doesn’t get picked up again, which will be sad for fans of the award-winning drama!

The Show: “The Millionaire Matchmaker”
Set Your DVR For: Tuesday, 9:00 p.m. (EST), BRAVO
I’m not sure if it’s necessary to do a reunion for every Bravo show, but on Tuesday, the cast of “The Millionaire Matchmaker” is reuniting for a live reunion special. The reunion will highlight the worst dates and best things Patti Stanger said … which should be good since she was really mean this season. Oh, and next season, Patti’s going to New York so we can view the NY equivalent of a gold-digger! Yay!

The Show: “Glee”
Set Your DVR For: Tuesday, 9:30 p.m. (EST), Fox
We caught a preview last week, but this week is “Glee“‘s Madonna tribute episode! Apparently, Mr. Schuester thinks the girls are being bullied by the boys and wants them to channel Madonna’s confidence in songs like “Express Yourself” and “Like a Prayer.” And Sue Sylvester gets a makeover with “Vogue.”

The Show: “Project Runway”
Set Your DVR For: Thursday, 10:00 p.m. (EST), Lifetime
It’s part two of the season 7 finale of “Project Runway” and those in the know (or who kept up all season) think that Mila, Seth Aaron, and Emilio will be the top three finalists who’ll battle it out on Thursday. Who will be auf’d for the win? And are you guys still watching “Runway” since its move to Lifetime?

The Show: “Party Down”
Set Your DVR For: Friday, 10:00 p.m. (EST), Starz
Super psyched for the season 2 return of “Party Down”! It’s got one of the best casts on television (which is maybe why other shows keep poaching cast members) and is truly hilarious in all its self-referential, hilarious Hollywood catering company glory. If you haven’t seen the first season, catch up now! I’ve been watching the marathons on Starz all week. Seriously, it’s comedy gold. Especially when Jane Lynch is on set.
