Spring has fully sprung but just because it’s nice out doesn’t mean you’ll be able to pry me from my couch. There is way too much going on with my TV friends this week. This week, we have the premiere of “Tough Love Couples” and “Brandy and Ray J: A Family Business.” We have episode two of the great new series “Treme.” We have the series finale of “Ugly Betty.” But perhaps most exciting … the return of “Glee.”
The Show: “Tough Love Couples”
Set Your DVR For: Tonight, 9 p.m. (EST), VH1
Steve Ward and his mama have beaten single women into submission for two seasons now. So I can’t wait to see what they do when confronted with couples dealing with serious issues—lack of trust, cheating, non-existent sex lives, life timelines that don’t match, rage, etc. This season might make being single seem awesomer than ever.
The Show: “Glee”
Set Your DVR For: Tuesday, 9:30 p.m. (EST), Fox
“Glee” is back! “Glee” is back! And this episode stars the other original star of “Wicked,” Idina Menzel, as the coach of Vocal Adrenaline. Can’t wait.
The Show: “Ugly Betty”
Set Your DVR For: Wednesday, 10 p.m. (EST), ABC
Sad face. This is the series finale of “Ugly Betty.” The show’s creator has promised us a happy ending, but what exactly does that mean? At least no one will die, like in the finale of “Dawson’s Creek.” Yes, I am STILL made about that.
The Show: “Treme”
Set Your DVR For: Sunday, 10 p.m. (EST), HBO
David Simon brought you “The Wire,” about dire straits in Baltimore. This show is set in New Orleans three months after Hurricane Katrina, but has a much more upbeat tone. And a killer soundtrack. A must-see.
The Show: “Brandy And Ray J: A Family Business”
Set Your DVR For: Sunday, 9 p.m. (EST), VH1
Yes, I decided to watch this show because I have a big crush on Ray J. But I’m actually interested in the story, too—a brother and sister managed by their parents get to take over the family business.
