Sadly, Dixie Carter, designing woman extraordinaire, passed away over the weekend. Tear. But she has left behind a legacy of fabulousness! As a kid, I was completely obsessed with the fast-talking Southern Belle business woman. She was a real role model and fashion model. She confidently exemplified working gal chic with a charm just as snazzy as her ensembles. I don’t know how she had time to run a business and hot-roll her hair — clearly Julia Sugarbaker was magical. And no one could rock a blazer and a pencil skirt quite like the late, great Ms. Carter. But maybe, just maybe, we can pay her tribute and try with these totally stylin’ twists on her signature look.
