Beyonce and Alicia Keys looked amazing in the photos released from the “Put It In a Love Song” video shoot. They had beautifully bronzed skin and energy that embodied the Rio de Janeiro atmosphere. But that’s exactly what American designer Maya Lake of Boxing Kitten accomplished. Her collection, which includes dresses, jumpers, and skirts, has a uniquely Afro-centric vibe with sexy, curve-hugging tailoring. Lake describes her separates and dresses as “ethnic rockabilly.” Solange, Fergie, and Erykah Badu are also fans of Boxing Kitten.
