Already known for his charitable moves, Tom’s Shoes founder Blake Mycoskie created a business plan which allowed him to give back to children in need while selling shoes to the masses. To continue his mission, Blake is hosting the third annual One Day Without Shoes campaign on April 8 with a barefoot walk on the Venice Beach Boardwalk in California to show just how important a simple pair of shoes can be for an individual. “We ask people to go the day, part of the day or even just a few minutes barefoot to experience a life without shoes firsthand and to help spread awareness.” It goes without saying that we take for granted the amount of shoes which are readily available for us to purchase, stocking our closest with varieties and pairs based on our mood while others go without a single set of shoes. Could you do it? [Heck yes! -- Editor Amelia] Register for events here and buy Toms shoes to spread awareness. [WWD]
