True story: I was at the Paris Spring ’07 show where Hussein Chalayan debuted groundbreaking animatronic couture dresses that moved on their own. Talk about a fashion moment. Now, I don’t recall Gaga being there (in fact — gasp! — she was relatively unknown back then), but apparently she was inspired enough by the legendary collection to work her own version onstage.
