Remote Control: What You’ll Want To Watch The Week Of February 8th 2010
Your TV isn’t going to get too much of a rest after last night’s Super Bowl. There are some big happenings in boob tubery this week—from the season premiere of “Celebrity Fit Club” to the 17th-to-last episode of “Lost,” to the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics. After the jump, catch previews, plus a Valentine’s Day marathon perfect for anyone who wants to throw Cupid down the stairs.
The Show: “Celebrity Fit Club: Boot Camp”
Set Your DVR For: Tonight, 9 p.m. (EST), VH1
Oh man, this season’s “Celebrity Fit Club” cast is amazing. Bobby Brown, Sebastian Bach, and Nicole Eggert, who was totally my favorite on “Charles in Charge.” Adding in some drama—Kevin Federline and Shar Jackson, together for the first time since he left her for Britney Spears.
The Show: “Lost”
Set Your DVR For: Tuesday, 8 p.m. (EST), ABC
Last week’s season premiere was nothing short of amazing. My sister has a really good theory for what might be happening. Remember when Juliette said, “Let’s get coffee … We’ll go dutch … It worked,” to Sawyer right before dying? My sister thinks she crossed over between realities—she’s both on the island and in Los Angeles, where Flight 815 never crashed, meeting Sawyer for the first time.
The Show: “Winter Olympics Opening Ceremony”
Set Your DVR For: Friday, 7:30 p.m. (EST), NBC
Woo hoo! The Winter Olympics are here. The opening ceremony is always an insane spectacle, but you know we’re really just watching for the hot dudes.
The Show: “Snapped Valentine’s Day Marathon”
Set Your DVR For: Sunday, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. (EST), Oxygen
I kind of expected Oxygen to play rom-coms all day for Valentine’s Day. But instead, they’re showing a marathon of “Snapped,” their schmaltzy true crime show about women who lose it and murder their significant others. Way to keep us on our toes, Oxygen.
